The W-ECOM Index Key ~ The Lite Edition ~ (The 12 Questions are Recorded) © 2007 Carl Weisbrod, PhD One of the marks of a good test occurs when the test designer (me, in this case) is surprised at the test results. In a small way, that was the case with this test. I came out with a score of 6--in the mid-range and I expected to come out with a higher ranking. If I would have ended up with a disproportionately high score there could be some bias contaminating the design--that could still be the case but at least one small hurtle is cleared. This test uses a triad-choice model as opposed to a forced-answer model (such as true or false). So I could have asked participants to rank their answers one, two, and three. This would have provided a lot more data but would have also made it difficult to administer from a podcast and a bit more stressful to take. By taking advantage of multiple-rank model and increasing the number of questions, the results for this type of test can become much more useful. With my training in psychological test design, decades of clinical experience, and ten years e-commerce experience, I'm somewhat unique ...maybe I should consider doing more of these of simple tests.
